Research conducted by SIEPR’s Petra Persson and Maria Polyakova explores the effects of infertility on both public and private levels, including its impact on mental health and socio-economic factors. Although in vitro fertilization (IVF) has been a common medical procedure in the United States for almost fifty years, it remains a contentious topic in policy and politics.
